Forgotton Ones Cat Rescue (FOCR)

About Forgotten Ones Cat Rescue.

We are a not-for profit Registered Charity, B/N #85159 8417 RR0001.  Tax receipts will be issued for monetary donations over $20.00

We are a growing group of volunteers who simply love cats.  Our focus is rescuing from high kill shelters.

We are working towards the same goal of rescuing and placing as many unwanted and homeless cats & kittens that end up in high kill shelters through no fault of their own where they literally have no chance and placing them into loving, forever homes.

We do not have paid staff or government funding.  We rely on fundraising events, donations and grants to help us cover the costs of the manycats that come into our program and are always in need of monetary donations.  All cats are vet checked, spayed, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, treated for internal/external parasites and given any further veterinary care they require when we admit them into the program.

We are are not-for-profit Registered Charity, B/N #85159 8417 RR0001.  Tax receipts will be issued for donations over $20.00.

How You Can Help

Foster

We do not have a shelter facility and rely solely on the kindness of people willing to foster cats and kittens for us until we can place them into their forever homes.

Foster homes are needed year round, they are our lifeblood, without foster homes our rescue would not exist.

If you can help with temporarily fostering a cat or help with socializing a shy cat, or take a cat out of Petsmart for a much needed break, please let us know as soon as possible.

Please email or call us to find out how you can help.

Every time we take in a stray, we are not just saving one life.

Every cat we take into our program is spayed or neutered so in essence we are saving the lives of many unwanted kittens who would be born homeless without much chance of surviving into adulthood.

This gives a cat or kitten already born and in need of a home a better chance of finding that home.

"For every stray cat we spay, thousands more lives are spared.

One unspayed female and her offspring can end up with 420,000 descendants in 7 years"

The increased number of cats we are taking in also means more funds are needed for their veterinary care.

We are making an urgent appeal for donations and foster homes to help the cats in need.

You can organize your own fundraising event with proceeds going towards helping our cats!  How about a Garage Sale, a 50/50 draw or a Bake Sale at your workplace?  The ideas are unlimited! You can be assured that all proceeds will go directly towards the cats and help pay our enormous veterinary bills.  Of course FOSTER HOMES, our lifeblood, are needed year round.  Please contact us if you can help in any way.

Our organization has saved many beautiful and truly wonderful cats, but there are many more that are dying needlessly.

Thousands of healthy,  loving cats and kittens are put to death daily and suffer horribly in laboratories, pounds and on the street.
